Birth, death certificates through eSeva

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is issuing birth and death certificates, inclusion of name of the child, correction of birth and death certificates and non-availability certificates of birth and death through eSeva from April 3.

The people can also register birth or death through eSeva. While the birth is informed in Form No.1, the death is informed in Form No.2

If the birth or death takes place in hospitals, it is the responsibility of the hospital in-charge to inform the Registrar of Births and Deaths within 21 days of occurrence of the same, a press note said. And if the events occur in the household, it is the responsibility of the head of the household to inform the Registrar within 21 days.

The eSeva will not charge any fee for the above service and everyone is entitled to one free certificate.
