Six-member team sets out on ‘World Peace Propagation Rally'

Several organisations celebrated the 142nd Gandhi Jayanthi on Sunday. A bike rally was flagged off from Bapughat, Hyderabad to Rajghat, New Delhi carrying the message of peace, communal harmony and national integration.

A six-member team including an advocate P. Sivakumar and a software engineer L. Ravikumar sets out on ‘World Peace Propagation Rally' today morning at Bapughat.

Street Cause, a youth organisation, began a ‘Hyderabad Youth Assembly' at the United World School of Business, Jubilee Hills on Sunday. The delegates in the assembly resolved to adopt a village to provide awareness about nutrition, health and education.

They also decided to adopt a government school and provide it with basic necessities like stationery and a colour TV. The Hyderabad Youth Assembly raised Rs. 2.5 lakh by its volunteers towards this.
