The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) introduced a ‘tatkal’ scheme for candidates who have not paid the examination fee for Intermediate examinations to be held in March 2010 and those seeking attendance exemption.

It will be open from November 16 to December 15.

Rs. 500

Candidates have to pay tatkal fee of Rs. 500 apart from the regular examination fee of Rs. 210 and the prescribed fee for practical examinations.

Those seeking attendance examination fee have to pay Rs. 500 in addition to the cost of exemption and examination application fee.

Board of Intermediate Education Secretary G. Balaramaiah in a statement said that candidates who have a gap of one year after passing SSC or its equivalent were eligible to appear for only first year exam and those who have a gap of two years were eligible to appear for both I and II year as private attendance exemption candidates.

Intermediate pass certificate holders appearing for Mathematics as additional subject have to submit the attested copies of Intermediate pass certificates in the colleges where they have studied previously.

Failed candidates who had appeared earlier were also eligible to apply under this scheme apart from candidates interested to write for improvement and those preferring to write with a change of group in Arts combination.
