Unidentified persons made an unsuccessful attempt to steal ornaments from a jewellery shop at Rajendranagar on Thursday night. The accused tried to enter Govind jewellery shop by drilling a hole to the wall. On hearing sound nearby residents woke and seeing them thieves escaped from the spot leaving behind hammers, drilling machines and other equipment. Police officials said a gang from Bihar, which was involved in similar offences earlier, could be involved in the incident.
