A brand new kitchen that would feed close to 10,000 needy persons under the Rs. 5 per meal scheme of the GHMC and Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) is coming up at Kokapet. On Thursday, bhumi puja to set up the fully automated Bhojanamrita kitchen at Sri Krishna Goseva Mandal, Narsingi, Kokapet was organised by HKM Hyderabad.
“The new kitchen will be a fully mechanised. We will start this facility within months and the kitchen will provide food to 10,000 persons. We are grateful to Aurobindo Pharma for their support,” said head of HKM, Hyderabad, Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa. Aurobindo Pharma has donated Rs. 1.10 crore towards setting up of Bhojanamritha kitchen here. Two more special vehicles to transport the food prepared to various points in the city were also donated. The special kitchen will also feed over 5,000 persons that include patient attenders at various government hospitals in the city. The ritualistic function was attended by Chairman, Telangana Legislative Council, Swamy Goud, Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, Transport Minister Mahender Reddy and Director of Aurobindo Pharma Sharat Chandra Reddy.
