Famous seminary, Al Mahadul Aali al Islami, situated at Shaheen Nagar, Barkas, is the place where this unique experiment will take off from the new academic year in June.
For the first time a fine blend of Islamic and modern education is on offer in the city. Students now have the option of acquiring both ‘deeni taleem’ (religious instructions) and the modern education at the same time.
This long felt need is being fulfilled by eminent Islamic scholar, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani. He has teamed up with the MS Education Academy, which runs a string of schools and colleges, to foster ethical leadership with judicious integration of madrasa and contemporary learning.
The famous seminary, Al Mahadul Aali al Islami, situated at Shaheen Nagar, Barkas, is the place where this unique experiment will take off from the new academic year in June. The spacious two storeyed MS Rahmani School boasts of smart class rooms, computer lab, language lab, science lab, library and infrastructure on par with corporate schools. Admission to the residential school will begin in May.
“The idea is to nurture students who have a good grounding in both religious and modern education. After SSC they are free to go for professional courses or take the madrasa line”, says Maulana Rahmani, who is also the secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board.
This kind of education is being offered in UK, Canada and South Africa. Taking a leaf from there the curriculum is so designed as to offer the best of both the worlds to the students. During a seven year period, they will be taught Tafsir, Hadees, Seerath, Fiqh, Arabic language along with English, mathematics, science, social, arts, computers and general knowledge. Students also have the option of memorising the Quran, says Maulana Rahmani.
“We want to produce future leaders who have strong ethical values and who have concern for the community and nation”, he says.
