The Management of Film Nagar Cultural Centre, including its president K.S. Rama Rao, failed to turn up at the Banjara Hills police station despite notices being issued to them. Criminal cases had been booked against the club management after an under-construction structure collapsed on Sunday claiming the lives of two workers.

Meanwhile, the Banjara Hills Police on Tuesday questioned the engineer and others involved in the construction of the portico that collapsed. Engineer Sudhakar, labour contractor Kondal Rao and Centring worker Balraju appeared before the police. Till now, no arrests have been made. The GHMC continued to clear the debris and construction material for the third consecutive day. According to the officials, efforts are on to demolish the remaining structure which might take one more day. The police have also been asked to prevent people from entering the premises till the exercise is completed. The club will remain sealed till a decision is made based on the report from the JNTU technical team. The members who had visited the site on Monday are expected to submit a report on Wednesday on their findings.
