Tenders finalised

Tenders for the project taken up as part of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority’s plans had been finalised and the HMDA has requested the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) authorities to take up land acquisition for the stretch to facilitate the construction of the flyover.

According to senior officials, the internal bench mark (IBM) value for the project had been set at ₹ 69.10 crore after modification of vertical gradient adopted to 3.5 per cent against the proposed 2.5 per cent.

e-procurement mode

As a result the flyover would be of 1.09 km length as against the 1.32 km resulting in saving in cost of construction and land acquisition process, the official added.

Tenders were called through e-procurement mode and the firm M/s BCSPL Infrastructure Ltd had been qualified for the work as lowest bidder. The firm quoted price of ₹ 68.67 crore which was 0.63 per cent less than the IBM value while the second bidder quoted amount which was 4.95 per cent more than the IBM value.

The HMDA informed the GHMC that an initial amount of ₹ 25 crore had been deposited and that the balance amount would be released as and when requested. The GHMC had initiated the land acquisition process for the project.
