Austrian team holds talks on cleaning Hussainsagar

Visit is part of the State Government’s plans to clean up the lake and revive it as a fresh water lake

A team of experts from Austria visited Hussainsagar lake on Saturday along with the authorities of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board, Telangana State Pollution Control Board and others.

The experts visited the lake as part of the State Government’s plans to clean-up the lake of the muck and revive it as a fresh water lake.

GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar, HMDA Commissioner Shalini Mishra, Water Board Managing Director M. Jagadeeshwar and other officials were present on the occasion.

Later, the team called on Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma along with the Government officials and held talks with him on cleaning the lake.
