The American Telugu Association (ATA), one of the oldest and largest member-based Telugu organisations in the United States, will celebrate the silver jubilee of its formation and the bi-annual convention in Chicago from July 1 to 3.
Telugu heritage
The celebrations will showcase the spirit of Telugu cultural heritage, with many prominent political and film personalities, among others, will be participating in the celebration.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu are also likely to join the convention.
A large contingent of artists, musicians, and dancers will be present on the occasion, said Vikram Kattamreddy, political chair of ATA. He said ATA leaders are making concerted efforts to make the three-day convention a historic, wholesome family event which will showcase Telugu culture, art, music, dance, literary, religion, social economic, health and political forums.
The convention will also feature spiritual discourses, and for the youth, ATA is organizing youth-centric activities, including a cruise on Lake Michigan.
