MMTS Travellers Group celebrates MMTS’ 9th anniversary

The South Central Railway (SCR) will accord more priority to passenger amenities in MMTS stations, said S.K. Mishra, Railway Divisional Manager, Secunderabad, here on Thursday.

Participating as a chief guest at the 9th anniversary celebrations of the MMTS, he said that the MMTS stations in the twin cities were well maintained. “We are taking various steps to avoid any inconvenience to passengers,” he explained. The celebrations were organised by MMTS Travellers Group.

The MMTS is catering to the needs of various passengers, especially those working in IT and ITeS sectors in the State capital.

He said track maintenance was becoming increasingly difficult due to inadequate infrastructure facilities. In order to ensure safety of passengers and to improve speed of the train, the SCR has decided to suspend MMTS services partially during the next few days in the afternoon.

The organisation later submitted a memorandum to Mr. Mishra requesting to change timings of some MMTS services in the larger interest of the passengers.

It requested Mr. Mishra to lay a separate line for the MMTS services to enable trains to run on time and urged him to use his good offices to commence works of phase-II of MMTS services.
