Brahmani Steels' writ

Brahmani Steels filed a writ petition in the High Court on Tuesday challenging the action of the government in issuing orders withdrawing various concessions given to it. During the regime of late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy as Chief Minister, the government had allotted water for the proposed steel plant and extended concessions including captive mining and the like. After the arrest of Gali Janardhan Reddy, the government reviewed the issue and withdrew the earlier GOs. Now the petitioner wants water for construction activity. The case is likely to be listed this week before the appropriate Bench.
