It was a test in history, cinema, politics, environment and even gastronomy for the stereotyped ‘computer geeks’. Out of the engineers garb and their workstations, it was a field day for software employees across country at ‘Greenko Hyderabad Open Quiz’.

From school-goers, college students, self-employed and professionals, nearly 1,000 people were part of the fifth edition of the open quiz organised by Greenko group, operator of clean energy projects, in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Those from the corporate world dominated the centre stage on qualifying for the final round, leaving behind several students from the city. While the ‘Qed’ team from Chennai emerged winners of the quiz, ‘Royal Bengal’ from Bangalore and ‘Dead Parrots Society’ from Chennai bagged the second and third prizes respectively.

Quizzers from companies such as Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Oracle, Delloitte, besides students from nearly 50 schools and colleges were part of the quiz.
