A five-year-old boy, Deepak, was crushed to death under the wheels of a school bus after he rushed onto the main road to buy chocolate at Chatrinaka in old city on Tuesday.
The bus belonging to Sri Chandra School of Excellence stopped on the main road near Ramdas Function Hall around 5.30 p.m. The bus driver, K. Mahesh, started the vehicle soon after three students got down at the stop there not noticing the boy on the rear side.
Instant death
“Somehow, the kid fell down and came under the rear side left wheel of the bus. Death was instant for him,” Chatrinaka Inspector G. Narayana Reddy said.
