Water Board, managing director, Adhar Sinha, has asked general managers (E) to organise orientation programmes on Rain Water Harvesting (RWH).

Mr. Sinha has asked for these orientations at the division, sub-division and section level and in some selected colonies before the onset of monsoon.

Chlorine tablets

Participating in the Prajavani programme here on Monday, he wanted the General Manager (QAT) Wing to arrange for the distribution of chlorine tablets in pollution-prone areas, slums and tail-end points of water supply system.

This was meant to be a precautionary measure to protect consumers against any epidemic diseases which usually erupt between summer-end and onset of monsoon.
