With the establishment of the online application procedure in EAMCET, students wishing to apply for two streams, such as Agricultural and Medical, need not fill in two separate application forms. Instead, they can click on both the choices in the same application form thereby reducing the time and effort, informed Convenor of EAMCET and JNTU Professor N.V.Ramana Rao.
Printed forms, which were kept as an alternative to online procedure last year, will be eliminated totally from this time onwards. JNTU has listed two modes of paying registration fee, one through AP Online, E-Seva, Mee Seva or Post Office centres, and the other through debit or credit cards.
Aspirants, if paying through the former, must provide details such as Name, Hall Ticket Number of the qualifying examination, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and the Stream applying for. A payment receipt with a Transaction Id will be generated, using which they can proceed to fill in the form online.
Candidates paying through debit or credit cards need to choose the ‘Make Payment’ option on the website. They too will be given a Transaction Id before filling in the application form.
After successful application in both cases, a confirmation page will be generated and sent to the candidate’s email account. Instruction booklet provided on the website may be checked in case of doubts.
Those wishing to make changes after obtaining the confirmation page can do so only by contacting the respective officials, Prof.Rao informed. Download of Hall Tickets from the website will be enabled from April 26 onwards and continue till the date of the exam.
Dwelling upon the advantages of the online system, Prof. Rao said it would eliminate wastage and unnecessary expenditure, manual errors, ineligible candidates, and malpractices. It will result in great economy of paperwork and man hours for the university, he said. Instead of the prospectus, an online instruction booklet will be kept on the website. Filling in of the online form takes only two minutes and applications can be filed at any time or day.
Mandated to integrate newer technologies in every aspect, the university is taking all measures to make it a smooth process for the students, he said.
