Selection for the Army Boys Sports Company of Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre will be conducted at Thapar Stadium of AOC Centre, East Maredpally Road in Secunderabad from April 24 to 27. Selections will be held for swimming, weight lifting and athletics.
Age limit for weight lifting and athletics is between 11 to 14 years whereas for swimming it is nine to 13 years. Interested candidates should report at 6 a.m. on April 24 at the venue along with their original date of birth certificate, original certificate from school indicating class in which he is studying presently, sports kit for participation in selection trials for respective sports, certificate of participation in district and above level sports, if any and six copies of latest passport size photographs of the candidate.
Selected candidates will be provided free academic training up to X standard in English medium. It is mandatory for sports cadets enrolled to join the Army to be 17 and half years of age after passing 10th Standard.
