Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation Limited (APTDC) on Friday inducted three new Volvo buses that will replace old buses plying between Hyderabad-Shirdi and Hyderabad-Tirupati route, in its fleet.

The APTDC has also procured 10 new hi-tech buses to replace old buses in its fleet. Of the three Volvo buses, two buses have been roped in for Hyderabad-Shirdi tour while one bus will operate on the Hyderabad-Tirupati tour.

The tourism corporation has spent close to Rs. 2.15 crore toward procuring the three Volvo buses and Rs. 3.30 crore for the purchase of 10 new hitech buses. The hitech buses are expected to start operating from Oct.

The Volvo coaches were inaugurated on Friday by VC and MD of APTDC, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Executive Directors, B. Srinivas and M. Balasubramanyam Reddy.
