15,000 employees likely for September 7 gathering
The permission to APNGOs’ meeting on September 7 given by the Hyderabad Police has several riders including that the permission may be cancelled without notice in case of any law and order disturbance.
The order issued by Central zone DCP V.B. Kamalasan Reddy states nearly 15,000 employees were expected to attend the meeting to be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
While entering and leaving the meeting venue of Lal Bahadur Stadium, the employees should not take out any rallies or processions and raise slogans.
No provocative speeches or slogans hurting sentiments of any community or region should be made.
Since there are inputs that some anti-social elements may mingle with the employees and indulge in violence, only those carrying identity cards only would be allowed inside.
Police said the organisers should make arrangements for parking vehicles and engage volunteers to identify members.
Action would be initiated against the organisers in case of any damage to or destruction of private and public property consequent to the meeting.
The APNGOs Association, which represents Seemandhra employees, had planned to mobilise one lakh people for the meeting. Employees working in Hyderabad and people from Seemandhra settled here are expected to attend. Association president P. Ashok Babu had earlier said politicians from Seemandhra could participate in the meeting.
