It was an emotional moment for Anurag Sharma, the outgoing DGP of Telangana, at the farewell parade held held in his honour in Telangana State Police Academy on Sunday. Stating that superannuating from the Police Department is sad, having served for over 35 years, Mr. Sharma recalled his stint as DCP South Zone in Hyderabad. Policemen and officers of all ranks strove to keep the State safe and secure since its inception three years ago, he said.

He observed that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao extended full support to the department in strengthening the infrastructure.

He hoped the new DGP M. Mahender Reddy would further enhance quality of policing in the State.
