Hyderabad Police Commissioner A.K. Khan wanted the public to take the initiative in preventing people from smoking in public and said the police would act on complaints if passive smokers told the nearest constable.

Others present included K.V. Rajendra, CEO, Celon Laboratories and Dr. T. Mandapal, Director, MNJ Institute of Oncology and the Regional Cancer Centre.
