Another film city in the offing

The State government will build another film city in Hyderabad over area 4,000 to 5,000 acres in order to develop a new film industry in Telangana, said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Addressing guests and doctors during the launch of the Continental Hospital’s Cancer Centre’s here on Saturday, Mr. Rao said that once the new film city develops, film actor Krishna will be one of the board members.

Population to increase

He also stated that once the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) is developed, the population of the Hyderabad city would increase by one crore.

Mr. Chandrashekar Rao also praised Continental Hospital for having world-class infrastructure for its patients, and added that it has added to the brand image of Hyderabad.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. T. Rajaiah, Continental Hospital Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Guru N. Reddy, consultant radiation oncologist Dr. Ramana Murti Chitti and others were also present at the event.
