Actor Anjali, who was reported missing on Tuesday, called up her mother and said she was fine, police said on Wednesday.

The actor had come to the city from Chennai for a film shoot, left the Daspalla hotel on Tuesday. She had checked in two days ago.

The actress rang up her mother, who is in Amalapuram, after her elder brother booked a complaint of missing person, saying she had disappeared from the hotel. The police were on the lookout for her ever since.

“I am fine and [there is] no need to worry,” she was quoted as saying by her brother Ravi Kishore. Investigators found she had used her mobile phone to speak to her mother, switching it off later. “Analysis of telephone calls indicates that she could be in and around Shamshabad,” a police officer said.
