All set for Army recruitment rally beginning today

On the first day, candidates from Adilabad and Ranga Reddy districts to attend

Stage is set for the Army recruitment rally at the sprawling Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium in the town from November 1 (Wednesday) to 10. The district administration and the police have made all the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the rally.

The recruitment rally would be conducted by the Army Recruiting Office, Secunderabad, under the aegis of Headquarters Recruiting Zone, Chennai. The Army is looking to hire soldiers in the following categories: technical, technical (aviation and ammunition examiner), nursing assistant, general duty, clerk/store keeper and tradesman.

The candidates who have applied online and secured the admit cards would be allowed to take part in the recruitment rally beginning from the early hours of Wednesday.

The district authorities have provided free accommodation for the candidates at Revenue Garden and at Karimnagar function hall opposite the Collectorate.

Each batch consists of 250 candidates. After their entry into the stadium, the authorities would check the admit card, their certificates and collect the finger prints. Those selected in the physical test would be allowed to take the written test and medical examination by a team of doctors would be held later.

A total of over 54,000 candidates from all the 31 districts would participate in the recruitment rally as per their allocated dates.

On the first day on November 1, the candidates from Adilabad and Ranga Reddy districts would attend. Every day, more than 5,000 candidates would attend the rally.

The district authorities have opened a help desk at the RTC bus station and have erected sign boards to guide the candidates arriving from various parts of the State. Over 250 police personnel have been roped in for the bandobust arrangements at the stadium.
