Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi was released from Adilabad District Jail on Saturday evening on conditional bail. He was greeted by a large crowd of cheering party cadres.
Mr Owaisi had spent 39 days in prison after being named accused number one in the Nirmal hate speech case. First Additional Sessions Judge A. Venkateswara Reddy had on Friday granted conditional bail to the MIM legislator. The bail formalities were completed by evening at Nirmal and at the district headquarters Adilabad.
As Mr. Owaisi came out of jail, a roar of jubilation rose from the close to 2,000 cadres who had driven down from Hyderabad, Bhainsa and Nirmal. Among the first to welcome him was MIM MLA Afsar Khan. After a few more minutes of slogan-shouting from enthusiastic party workers, Mr. Owaisi got into a bulletproof vehicle allotted to him by the Intelligence Security Wing and left for Hyderabad with an escort of two vehicles.
The police had to resort to a mild cane charge to disperse the supporters and make way for the vehicles carrying the MIM leaders. Tight security arrangements were in place along the entire route out of the District Jail and elsewhere in the district.

Guys like him in any religion, are selfish thugs who misuse the trust so many people for their own selfish gains. These guys can not provide right education to his followers; cannot generate jobs for his followers, cannot provide security to his followers(they get beaten up by police and his enemies). But this fellow intoxicates himself and his followers with hateful thoughts and speeches; uses them for creating himself the so called political leader job, gets himself security from his followers and police. Unless the right minded people in every religion come out and tell such misguided people not to trust these kind of enemies of the society; unless the government treat them as thugs rather than vote bank leaders, these thugs will continue to distrub public peace. Wolves in human clothes!
What a great democracy we have where such people are let off at the drop
of a hat for political reasons -and the likes of Dr.Binayak Sen -an
internationally respected doctor and humanist was incarcerated for
over 3 years on trumped up charges .
India is full Youngsters ,rather than any other democratic country in
the world.
We youngsters are easily moulded with the set exampled of our leaders
and government.
Now government and our honourable lawyers & Judges has to
decide what example he want to set for the young Indians.
If i am wrong anywhere , would like to apologize for the same.
I just wonder how each one is up in arms against Akbaruddin, while no one opens his mouth when Praveen Togadia roars (sic) "we will turn hyderabad into Ayodhya". At least he has been arrested and imprisoned for 39 days, while Togadia goes scot free spewing around his venom with huge following every where.
What a sham this democracy has become.Akbaruddin owaisi and Praveen
togadia who are at best third rate cheap publicity mongers are treated
with respect by police. These scoundrels talk as they like abuse gods and
religions and make cheap publicity. These fellows should never be allowed
out and should rot in jails
I have a better idea. The hate speech makers must be all put to a
single cell in the jail for some years and let them sort their issues
out. Once out, they would not have to say anything to the public cuz
they may have resolved all their issues inside!
Akbaruddin must tender his apology to all the Hindu brothers publicly .
We hate any form of extremism whether it belongs to muslims or hindus.
It is abundantly clear from all the "hate speech" cases involving the likes of Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi or Mr. Praveen Togadia, that they were playing to the galleries. So it is not just the speaker who harbours violent intent against another community, but a whole lot of supporters as well. Perhaps the courts should free such "leaders" only after they tender a public apology and an assurance that such speeches are wrong and that they will not indulge in such acts again. Additionally, it might a wise thing for the police to do to either videograph or photograph the supporters as a precautionary measure, for surely such individuals display an innate sense of communal hatred which holds the possibility of manifesting itself as acts of crime in the future.
@azmal khan if a man kills another man only the two are affected, but a nonsense speech like this can create even a religious riot and can shed blood 1000's of innocent people, so now u tell whether this should come under as bailable or non bailable offense, he is trying to inject venom to sacred hearts of the true followers of nabi who believes in universal love and brotherhood and peace..
I dont understand like why Akbaruddin Owaisi is allotted a bullet proof
vehicle by Intelligence security wing? These kind of politicians who
make a living by dividing Indians based on religion, caste or creed
should be dealt strictly by law, leave alone allotting government
facilities. These Akbar Owisi's, Praveen Tagodia's are far more a bigger
problem to the country than any external terrorists.
I agree with the previous comment. Some one trying to spread hatred and communal riots (irrespective of the religion) is being given VIP treatment and bullet proof vehicles mockery of democracy!!!! Where is our society heading?
why our conscience not pinched us not to support such type of hate speaker why not people jointly come forward to fight such person whether they were from any relegion.
I saw the akbaruddin convoy in hyderabad. I was terrified by the way his supporters behaved. It is surely going to be a communally tense environment in coming days. It looks to me that the courts have done a terrible mistake. I am also amused by the fact that lot of muslims in hyderabad actually support him . Earlier in their protests , they were calling him 'sher-e-deccan'. He is simply a hate-monger & muslims should not support him in greater national interest. JAI HIND.
Religion is personal belief, it's a faith, it's not science to prove which one is greater than other. However some selfish people use it for their own interests, and sadly some people encourage/support them. As long as Govt. won't take any strict action against these kind of people, they will repeat these things again & again.
Now hate mongers from both religions will prepare to spend a maximum of 40 days in jail, its
a mockery of justice when judges grant bail on flimsy grounds. If only crime like this was non
bailable no one will dare utter a word against other religions.
