The Akashvani & Doordarshan Administrative Staff Association (ADASA) has decided to intensify their agitation seeking justice if the management of Prasar Bharati did not take steps to correct its discriminatory and step-motherly treatment towards administration personnel.
At a press conference here on Friday, association president G.K. Acharya said the future course of action would be chalked out at ADASA's National Council to be held on Saturday.
He said 15,000 of the Prasar Bharati's employees were granted corporation scales while the rest are agitating to get their grievance redressed.They wanted involved implementation of the 1999 order that granted corporation scales to the others earlier.
He recalled that many tribunals had opined that employees working in the same organisation need to be treated alike and that contempt proceedings in the matter are still hanging on he Prasar Bharati management.
Mr. Acharya regretted that despite the apex court's comment that “uncertainly cannot be allowed to continue indefinitely,” the Prasar Bharati management is yet to finalise the service conditions of its employees.
When asked, the management said that employees are deemed to be on deputation without allowance till service conditions are finalised, he said, recalling that no employee could be on deputation for over five years.
