AI&ML bridge course for professionals at IIIT-H

Many opportunities in this field, say experts

The IIIT-Hyderabad’s Machine Learning Laboratory in association with TalentSprint, a career accelerator company, will offer a programme on Foundations of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI&ML) for technology professionals to build well-designed AI and ML solutions.

Director of IIIT-Hyderabad P. J. Narayanan said the hands-on teaching approach in the four-month programme will enable engineers in industry to build deep ML programming capabilities in their companies. He said the American research and advisory firm Gartner Inc. recently forecast the creation of 2.3 million jobs in AI and ML and deep learning (DL) within the next three years and such initiatives of IIIT will try to plug the gap and open up more opportunities for technologists.

Professor Narayanan said the IIIT-H was one of the largest AI research clusters in the country and is seeing a rising demand from the industry for AI and ML advisory services, technology prototypes, and capacity building.

Co-founder and CEO of TalentSprint Santanu Paul said the programme will be the bridge that will help today’s technology professionals successfully cross over to the new era of automation and intelligent systems. He said AI and ML is being touted as the next industrial revolution.

The programme will be directed by III-H professor C.S. Jawahar, who is a leading expert in the field of AI and ML. Professor of Co-Innovation and Head Research Outreach Ramesh Loganathan was also present. Professionals can apply for the programme on ‘www.talentsprint.com’.
