Afghan national accused of rape in Hyderabad

A post graduate student was raped allegedly by an Afghanistan national in Amberpet on Wednesday night, according to an FIR registered with the Osmania University police here on Friday.

The Afghani national, stated to be pursuing his engineering course in Osmania University and identified as Yausaf was taken into custody and is being interrogated by the Osmania University police. The victim, police said, was lured by assailant to his room on the pretext of discussing some issue and assaulted her sexually.
