ACB unearths illegal assets of Rajendranagar Sub-Registrar

Anti-Corruption Bureau officials searched the house of Rajendranagar Sub-Registrar, Jaladi Venkateswarlu, and seized documents pertaining to his assets, income and expenditure. The searches revealed that, the officer was in possession of two plots at Rajendranagar, a house at Malakpet, two flats (under agreement stage) at Saroornagar, 369 grams of gold. The officials found Rs. 12,84,800 in cash and a balance Rs. 2.51 and Rs. 1.64 lakh in two banks.

The officials estimated that his assets were worth Rs 85.38 lakh and said these were acquired in his name and also on the names of his family members and other persons by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious means while functioning as a public servant. A case is being registered.
