Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs. 1.70 crore, allegedly belonging to two Andhra Pradesh Government employees.

Acting on information, ACB sleuths simultaneously conducted searches at residences of T. Etheeshwar, Town Planning Officer, working in Bheemavaram Municipality of West Godavari.

The documents recovered during the searches revealed moveable and immovable assets worth Rs. 1 crore in the name of the officer and his family members, ACB sources said.

The market value of the assets could be more than Rs. 3 crore, they said, adding that illegal assets include houses at Hyderabad and Nizamabad district, gold ornaments and investments in chit funds.

In Visakhapatnam, the ACB officials found that an Executive Engineer working in Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA), Metta Appana, was in possession of disproportionate assets worth over Rs. 70 lakh.
