ABVP workers picket ministers’ quarters

Workers of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) picketed the Ministers’ quarters in Banjara Hills on Wednesday demanding that the ministers resign from the Cabinet on Telangana issue.

Police arrested more than 40 ABVP workers including ABVP state secretary Bhanu Prakash and national secretary Kadiam Raju.

Earlier, a dozen TRS workers who stopped the car of Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah near Karkhana in Secunderabad were arrested. The slogan-raising protestors demanded that Mr. Laxmaiah resign immediately from the cabinet. All the arrested persons were released later.
