A period movie

April 09, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Director Radhakrishna ‘Krish’ Jagarlamudi, who will direct actor-turned MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna in the latter’s 100{+t}{+h}film, ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ said the film will be launched and ‘pooja’ performed on April 22. While the director has been rather cagey and is not opening up about any more detail, the unit will head for Morocco to shoot the first schedule from the first week of May. As for the lead star - it is expected to be either Nayanatara or Kajal Agarwal. The former has earlier worked with Balakrishna in ‘Simha’ (2010), directed by Boyapati Seenu while for the latter, it will be a first with the lead star, if she is selected, that is.

The director had earlier told The Hindu that it would be like one that has never-seen-before. Interestingly, there is talk that Sunny Leone has also been roped in for a special role that includes what is typically known in the film industry as an ‘item song’ !
