Sexual assault case registered against four minors

The Chaderghat police registered a case of unnatural sex against four minor boys, for allegedly sexually assaulting another minor. The victim’s father Mohd. Mansoor lodged a complaint with the police. “All the boys live in the same locality. The incident took place about a month ago, which came to light only now. We are getting more details,” said a police official. So far, none of the boys were taken into custody.

Woman dies as crane falls on her

A 28-year-old woman Nallapu Padma was crushed to death on Monday when a crane fell on her at a construction site under the L. B. Nagar police station limits. “A rudimentary lift which was made to send construction materials to the upper floors malfunctioned and fell from the fourth level. Another woman Salamma who was on the lift fell down and was hurt as well,” said a police official. A case was registered against the builder/owner Gopal Reddy and another person, he added.

Dharna held against conversions

Activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad staged a dharna in front of the Mahankali police station on Monday morning. They demanded action against a pastor who allegedly distributed bibles at R.P. Road. They claimed that the pastor was propagating conversions to Christianity. They were later picked up by the police, detained and released a few hours later.
