HYDERABAD: Chief Secretary S.P. Singh called on his Andhra Pradesh counterpart S.P. Tucker at his chambers here on Monday. Sources described it as a courtesy call by Mr. Singh but their meeting at a time when both the State governments have unresolved issues related to division of Schedule IX and X institutions gave scope to speculation on the purpose of the meeting.

However, sources said that Mr.Singh would take an initiative only after he would get a clear direction from Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao. Mr.Tucker who got a second extension of three more months will retire from service next month-end.
