Road safety rally taken out at KITS

The Women Cell of Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Sahasra, in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), jointly organized a rally with girl students on road safety.

The girls sporting helmets and campaigning on traffic rules for safe driving took part in the rally on KITS campus. The rally was flagged off by ACP Traffic Surendhranath, institute director Y. Manohar said.

Addressing the students, Mr. Surendranath advised students not to drive a two-wheeler without a helmet and urged the college to carry the slogan: ‘No Helmet! No Entry!’ Some 150 girl students participated in the bike rally around the KITSW campus.

Mr. Manohar administered a pledge to students stating that they would not drive a two-wheeler without wearing a helmet.

Principal Venkateswara Rao, Dean student affairs K. Sridhar, ISTE chairman K. V. Raghu Babu and ISTE faculty adviser B. Rama Devi, executive members of women cell Vijaya, G. Manjulatha, M. Srilatha, K. Shivani, G. Raghotham Reddy, V. Ramaiah, all the deans, all the HODs, PRO D. Prabhakara Chary, student coordinators Vivek Raj, Akhil, Hazar, K. Sahithi, Lakshmi Prahitha and Akhil were present.
