Man stabbed to death by brother-in-law

A 36-year-old man was murdered allegedly by his brother-in-law due to family issues at Syed Nagar under Humayun Nagar police station limits on Monday evening. Atiq Qureshi, the deceased, was reportedly attacked by Nayeem and his friend at about 5.30 p.m.

According to Ghouse Moinuddin, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Asif Nagar, Atiq’s wife had passed away recently. “He was a native of Latur in Maharashtra and had gone back there after his wife died, leaving their three children behind, due to which there were some issues between him and his in-laws.

A case was registered under Section 302 after the incident.

Two boys drown in pond

Two boys — Jayaprakash (14) and Sai Kumar (12) — drowned in a small water body after they entered it while playing on Sunday evening. The incident took place under the Dundigal police station limits. Their bodies were taken out of the water body after their fathers approached the police, said an official.
