Kavitha to attend meeting

Nizamabad MP and young parliamentarian K. Kavitha will leave for Vijayawada on Friday to participate in the National Women’s Parliament at Amaravati.

The three-day conclave being held at the Pavitra Sangamam in Amaravati would see congregation of women Members of Parliament and legislative assemblies and councils of all States, local body representatives and eminent women leaders in different fields across the country and abroad.

A contingent of 10,000 girl students from colleges and universities of both Telugu States would also attend.

The NWP being organised by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Government would be a common and non-political platform for women from diverse backgrounds to share their experiences and knowledge in the area of women’s social, economic and political empowerment.

Ms. Kavitha would head for Vijayawada first, offer prayers at the Kanakadurga temple and then drive down to the venue and return to the city later in the evening.
