Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality start-up Imaginate, based in India and the US, has raised $500,000 from Philadelphia-based seed stage venture fund SRI Capital.

Consequently, SRI Capital managing partner Sashi Reddi has joined the company’s board of directors. With this funding round, Imaginate’s early seed investor IIIT Hyderabad has exited, a release said.

Mr. Reddi said Imaginate’s collaboration platform, NuSpace, would revolutionise the way people collaborate and learn by leveraging the best of both a physical class room like environment and the ease of a digital conferencing platform like Webex or Skype.

A release said NuSpace operates primarily in the B2B space of specialised training and education. Imaginate was a part of the NASSCOM 10,000 start-ups warehouse programme in 2016.
