More than 40 people who have appeared for the State police recruitment examinations gathered at the Director General Police’s office over apprehensions that those with lower marks will get jobs.

The aspirants who appeared for job of police constable caused a traffic jam for a while and left after the police took representations from them on the issue.

J. Purnachandra Rao, chairman of Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), said that the cut-off rank of one district cannot be used as the cut-off rank of another district/battalion/post. Each district, social category, special category and women will have different cut-offs, said a press release on Monday.

Candidates, who are willing to submit representations about any discrepancy in the selections, may submit them online from February 24 onwards. The details regarding the process of challenging the decisions will be put on the website www.tslprb.in on February 23.
