75 designers showcasework at Fashion Yatra

‘Objective behind Fashion Yatra is to offer latest fashion wear to Hyderabadi women sourced from leading designers'

The fifth edition of Fashion Yatra offering the latest home and lifestyle accessories, jewellery and other products was conducted at Hotel Taj Krishna here on Monday.

Over 75 designers showcased their works, including sarees, ethnic and Indo Western jewellery, footwear, semi-precious jewellery, bags and kids wear. The expo was launched by film actor Bhumika Chawla.

Even before the expo was officially inaugurated, women swarmed the stalls and picked up the best attires.

The cynosure of the expo were the Aakarshan and Studio Pottery stalls offering gift articles, photo frames and grocery.

Latest fare

The objective behind conducting Fashion Yatra is to offer latest fashion wear and accessories to Hyderabadi women sourced from leading designers, said Fashion Yatra owner Kamini Saraf.

Charity

This apart, Fashion Yatra had adopted “Nanhi Kali”, an organisation devoted to offering education to girls from kindergarten to high school.

A major share of the proceeds from the yatra would be used in sponsoring the education of 100 girls, she added.

A similar event would be conducted on October 25 in the city to raise funds for ‘Save the Children India', an NGO launched by actor Suniel Shetty, she added.
