The city police would be drafting 6,000 police personnel for security on Thursday for the public meeting being organised by the ruling party.

City Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu said that 14 SPs, in addition to ACPs, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, Head Constables, Constables and Home Guards would be drafted for security purposes.

The meeting venue was divided into 12 sectors and each sector would be headed by a SP-level officer for security. Nine parking places were identified and numbered. Mr. Sudheer Babu said the parking lots numbering 1, 2 and 3 are earmarked for those coming from Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Medak, Jangaon and Raghunathpally via Battupalli. Parking lots 4, 5 and 6 are for the vehicles coming from Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Sidipet, Narasampet, Bhupalpalli, Parkal and Mulugu areas.

The Commissioner appealed to the public and TRS party cadre to cooperate with the police and follow the instructions for smooth conduct of the meeting. It may be noted that the ruling party is holding a massive public meeting on April 27 here commemorating its 16th foundation day where Chief Minister and party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao would be addressing people.

The meeting is scheduled at Prakashreddypet on Hanamkonda outskirts. Senior leaders were camping here to ensure foolproof arrangements for the public meeting.
