A 50-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a 10-year-old relative. The incident happened about a month ago but came to light on Monday.

L.B. Nagar Police took the accused Venkatesh into custody, who is a close relative of the child. The incident came to light when the girl informed another woman about the assault. Child rights organisation Balala Hakula Sangham said the child’s father begs pretending to be blind and forces his children to beg as well. The police have registered a case under Section 376 of IPC (rape) against the accused.
