The State Government has decided to extend ₹4 per litre incentive being given to suppliers of milk to Vijaya Dairy to other dairies in the State – Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Karimnagar and Mulkanoor – from Dasara festival or little earlier.

Milk suppliers to the other dairies had been demanding extension of the incentive to them ever since it was introduced for milk producers of the Vijaya Dairy last year. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced extension of the incentive to the milk producers of other dairies during an interaction with the dairy farmers held at Pragathi Bhavan here on Sunday.

The Chief Minister stated that the incentive had helped improved milk supply to Vijaya Dairy from less than 5 lakh litres a day to over 7 lakh litres a day now and hoped that it would benefit the milk producers of other dairies and improve milk production.
