3 eateries shut down

The GHMC has ordered the closure of three eateries for running them without valid licences and also for not keeping their premises hygienic, posing a danger to public health.

Health and sanitation officials shut down Andalu wholesale & retail mixture shop, Anandbagh, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad; Anandbagh mixture shop, Anandbagh and Rohan Dhaba, Safilguda, after they conducted surprise inspections in Malkajgiri here on Wednesday.

Special teams led by the Chief Medical Officer of health and food inspectors checked 20 eating establishments. They also ordered the prosecution of three more eateries, Green Bawarchi, East Anandbagh; Balaji Motilal Mithai Bhandar, East Anandbagh and Mohsin Hotel, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad.

Notices were issued to seven eateries to rectify the issues raised during the inspection like untidy kitchen and so on. Senior officials once again reminded the managements of all eating establishments to maintain their kitchens properly and in a hygienic condition besides obtaining the trade licences, informed a press release.
