The Central Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh (CPDCL) has officially announced the power cut schedules for various localities of the city and other areas on Friday.
Within the GHMC, a two-hour load relief will be enforced every day starting from Saturday, in two spells of one hour each.
However, all the power cuts will be before 2 p.m. in the day.
In the district headquarters, the power cuts will be for four hours per day, spread over two spells of two hours each, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In other towns and municipalities, a six-hour load relief will be enforced in two spells of three hours each, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., and 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
In the mandal headquarters, power cuts will be of eight hours, enforced in two spells of four hours each, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
There is a gap of 20 to 30 million units of power, and in view of the ongoing Rabi operations and increasing demand, there is a need to regulate the power supply, the company said.
