2 housewives commit suicide

Two housewives ended their lives in separate incidents in the city.

Alka Devi (28) of CRPF campus, Chandrayangutta, hung herself to death in her house on Sunday night. Her family told the police that Devi was not keeping well for the last few months and might have resorted to the extreme step.

In another incident, Nikhat Fatima of Roshan Colony in Mylardevpally died at OGH on Monday. She was undergoing treatment after her suicide bid on Wednesday.

Family members said her husband and in-laws had been torturing her for additional dowry. The woman was married to Mohd. Rafi, a businessman from Vikarabad, a year ago.

Bus runs over woman

A labourer from Jubilee Hills was killed after being hit by an APSRTC bus on Sunday evening. Police said Kamalamma (47) was crossing Road No. 36 when the driver ran the vehicle over her. The driver fled from the spot.

Man found dead

An unidentified man, (65), was found dead at Phoolbagh Chaman in Shahalibanda on Monday . The man was clad in a lungi and was not wearing a shirt. The body was preserved at OGH mortuary.
