As many as 101 residents, including children and women, of Gujjula tanda, some eight kilometres from Gandhari mandal headquarters, were admitted to the local Primary Health Centre following complaints of vomiting and stomach upset since Monday morning.

Two of them were referred to Area Hospital in Kamareddy, according to Dr. Veerender, Medical Officer. Deputy DMHO Dr. Ravinder Goud rushed to the spot and supervised the arrangements for treating patients at the PHC.

Reports reaching here said that the tribal people purchased chicken and mutton from the Sunday market at Gandhari and organised a feast. By night, they started getting stomach ache. However, their condition is out of danger.
