Alliance Française de Delhi and Hauz Khas Village Traders' Association have roped in over 20 venues in Hauz Khas Village to celebrate World Music Day on July 21.

The event, Fête de la Musique, will be a celebration of music in its different forms and manifestations. The day dedicated to the promotion of music was created by the French Ministry of Culture and it first took place in Paris in 1982. The event in the Capital will be on the lines of celebrations across the world and it is for the fifth time that an event like this is being organised in the city.

A wide range of genre, musicians and type of shows will be presented during the evening, from 8 p.m. onwards, to promote the diversity of music.

Some of the venues that will have performances include Kaffiene, Ali Baba, Raasta, Bulldogs, Garage Diner, Maquina, Out of the Box, Amour, Imperfecto, Moonshine, Maasha, Elf, The Village Deck, Social Offline, Hi5, Barcelos and Mafioso.

Visitors can look forward to a host of professional as well as amateur musicians celebrate diversity in music.
