The State Commission for Women on Monday assured to recommend crime branch inquiry into death of Pragyan Saswati Priyadarshini, a 17-year-old college student who, according to her family members, was murdered.
Women of Nairi village under Khurda district staged a demonstration before the SCW office here protesting against police inaction in investigation into the death.

The family members had met the Superintendent of the Government Railway Police at Cuttack and Inspector General of Police. But it did not yield any result.
