Woman refuses to take legal action

A 25-year-old who was allegedly abducted and raped in Noida has refused to take legal action. However, the police have recorded her statement under Section 164 of CrPC and are probing the incident.

The victim was allegedly waiting for an auto-rickshaw around 6 p.m. on September 23 at Golf Course metro station when two men in a car approached her seeking directions. One of them dragged her inside as she was explaining the route. She was dumped near Delhi’s Akshardham.

A resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria, she had come here a few days ago in search of a job. She has refused to undergo medical examination or handover her phone for probe.
